Utilising the smartphone's microphone, it continuously records ambient sounds, breaking them into 20-second segments. This mobile application not only acts as a preventive tool against bullying but also provides immediate response capabilities, potentially transforming the approach to safety in school environments.

How Does it Work?

Core Functionality

1. Audio Recording & Analysis: 

          ○ Utilises the phone's microphone to continuously record ambient sounds.

          ○ Recordings are segmented into 20-second chunks for processing.

2. Speech-to-Text Conversion: 

          ○ Converts the audio chunks into text using speech-to-text technology. 

          ○ This conversion facilitates the identification of specified keywords.

3. Keyword Detection:

          ○ Users can predefine a set of keywords associated with bullying or violent behaviour.

          ○ The system scans each text segment for these keywords.

4. Alert System:                           

          ○ If keywords are detected, the app triggers an alert mechanism.             

          ○ It can notify emergency contacts, possibly including parents, teachers, or guardians.

          ○ These contacts receive alerts so they can take immediate action.

5. Data Upload and Server Integration:

          ○ Audio recordings can be uploaded to a server for further analysis.                       

          ○ This feature supports the use of machine learning to improve keyword detection                     accuracy and expand capabilities.

6. User Interface (UI):

          ○ Displays results of the analysis, indicating which audio chunks contain specified

              keywords.

          ○ User-friendly and intuitive, ensuring easy navigation and understanding.
